Website Concepts

This work shows how language brings clarity when ideas are still forming or direction isn't set. The projects here focus on writing that aligns teams, sharpens intent, and connects concepts to real audiences—whether refining what's already there or helping define what comes next.

Website Concept

  • Scope: Brand positioning, website concept, messaging framework

  • Status: Conceptual

  • Stelton Lumber Co. is a multi-generation, family-owned lumber business requiring modernization without the loss of institutional credibility. This conceptual project explores a restrained brand and website direction that emphasizes durability, reliability, and legacy over trend-driven aesthetics.

  • The work focuses on clear service language, heritage-informed messaging, and a digital structure designed to serve both long-standing customers and new audiences.

  • The proposed website framework prioritizes straightforward navigation, plainspoken copy, and an emphasis on materials, expertise, and continuity.

  • This project reflects strategic positioning rather than a finalized implementation. It demonstrates how language and structure can modernize a brand while preserving the trust built over decades of real-world operation.

Project Context

  • A third-generation, family-run yard with strong local trust but minimal online presence; the existing website was outdated and disconnected from daily operations.

  • Customers often arrived unclear on services, pricing, or how the yard differed from big-box retailers.

  • The proposed site centralized information, restored credibility, and allowed customers to explore products independently, prioritizing education and transparency over marketing polish.

  • The structure made the business legible to new customers and longtime locals alike, presenting products and processes clearly while reducing confusion at the counter.

  • Though never published, the project demonstrates how disciplined language and organization can reshape perception, with writing functioning as operational infrastructure rather than ornament.

Casa De Peso Vintage Goods

  • Scope: Brand identity, website copy, SEO-optimized product descriptions, ecommerce strategy

  • Status: Live

  • Casa De Peso is a vintage menswear brand focused on historically significant garments and material culture.

  • I developed the brand voice from the ground up, writing all website and product copy and structuring long-form, SEO-informed descriptions that balance search visibility with collector-level detail.

  • Rather than relying on hype or trend language, the site prioritizes clarity, provenance, and narrative credibility. Each product description functions as both commercial copy and historical record—communicating condition, construction, era, and cultural context to support informed purchasing decisions.

  • This project demonstrates long-form product storytelling, conversion-aware writing, and consistent brand language across an evolving catalog, resulting in an ecommerce experience grounded in trust and knowledge.

Project Context

  • The site needed to function as more than a storefront; the vintage operation existed across platforms with no single place explaining how pieces were sourced, evaluated, or priced.

  • Consolidated inventory and clarified process so first-time visitors could understand the reasoning behind condition, rarity, and value.

  • Built around precision, transparency, and respect for the material, treating language as infrastructure rather than marketing.

  • Used clear explanations of construction, era, wear, and provenance without hype or inflated claims.

  • Aligned copy, layout, photography, categorization, and pricing so buyers could make informed decisions without confusion.

  • Resulted in a coherent site that makes complexity legible and supports smoother transactions and long-term customer trust.
